• Removing Lipstick Stains from Your Carpet

     Heart beauty makeup

Lipstick looks great on your lips, but not so much anywhere else.  Hopefully you’ve never had the displeasure of dealing with lipstick smudged onto your carpet, but unfortunately it can happen, and when it does you need to act fast.  Follow these simple steps to beat stubborn lipstick stains and get your carpet looking like new again.

    1. Scrape off as much of the excess lipstick as possible, taking care not to rub it in further.
    2. Using a clean white cloth, sponge the remaining stain with a dry cleaning solvent. Test it on an inconspicuous area first to make sure the solvent is safe for the carpet.
    3. Blot the stain until the solvent is absorbed.
    4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone.

If the above method doesn’t work, try the following:

    1. Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 2 cups of warm water.
    2. Sponge the stain with the soap/vinegar solution, blotting until the liquid is absorbed.
    3. Sponge with cold water to rinse, and blot dry.
